Mary (Mouse) Dobson Perpetual Trophy -

Services or Excellence in Umpiring

(Awarded to a person that has been significantly involved in umpiring organization or a person that has displayed excellence in umpiring)

Mouse joined TEM in the early 1990s with her sister Andrea. She was tough, strong and on the field, pretty darned scary. But the Mouse that came to be known and loved by all was generous, kind, giving, protective, nurturing and a great friend. She was a wonderful mentor for all players both to younger players and to her peers in both playing and umpiring – all of us learned so much her and her attitude. She was always encouraging us and was positive in her approach to everything – she had the ability to bring out everyone’s best. Mouse died unexpectedly on the 12th of September 2007 at the age of 31.
